ABCs of needle mesotherapy
Mesotherapy treatment can be most generally described as a topically acting, non-surgical medical procedure that involves the delivery of therapeutic, regenerative or nutritional substances directly into the dermis. The application of active substances deep into the skin can be carried out non-invasively through the introduction of therapeutic and regenerative preparations by electroporation (needleless mesotherapy) or through syringes with very thin needles, or special devices making small punctures(needle mesotherapy).
Needle method
After attempts at medical applications, the needle method was introduced into aesthetic dermatology and cosmetology. Various injection techniques have been developed, differing in the depth and angle at which substances are administered. The doses applied are small and applied directly to the area where the effect is wanted. The scope of mesotherapy has been extended to almost the entire body. We can use the treatment, for example, on the face, neck, décolleté, buttocks, thighs, abdomen. The treatment is performed with appropriately selected needles and syringes or a specially designed gun.
Mesotherapy gun
The use of a gun allows for precise determination of the depth of injection and the volume of the mixture administered during a single injection, which can give an even distribution of the product over the entire area of the skin surface to be treated, minimizes pain sensation and reduces treatment time. Mixtures of revitalizing and regenerating therapeutic substances, called ampoules or cocktails, are used for the treatments.
Good preparations for mesotherapy treatment
Mesotherapy preparations used should be:
- water-soluble, isotonic- with appropriate pH- physically and chemically stable- well-tolerated- not causing allergic reactionsExample application and range of action of individual active substances, contained in specially selected ampoules, is presented in the table below.
