IPL laser for aesthetic medicine, Medical equipment
IPL laser - light energy used for cosmetic purposes
Today, many different technologies are used for laser hair removal, but a large group of people are unaware of the difference and the advantages of one method or another. Moreover, it is quite difficult to distinguish between lasers used for skin rejuvenation and those designed for hair removal. IPL is one of the alternatives to laser technology, which is widely used to both combat age-related skin changes and remove unwanted hair. But how does it work in two such seemingly different situations? The IPL laser (the common name) is an intense pulsed light, unlike conventional lasers, which emit a focused beam of light. However, the IPL method should not be called a laser, but an IPL light treatment device.
What is the advantage of systems - IPL laser?
Laser to IPL (intense pulsed light source) is a type of high-energy color light with a wide range of wavelengths that can penetrate deep into the dermis through the epidermis. This light can reach different layers of the skin and is absorbed by the follicle. In this way, IPL can destroy hair follicles and then permanently remove unwanted hair. IPL Laser can also close damaged blood vessels. In addition, this equipment stimulates the growth of collagen and elastin fibers, making the skin much healthier and younger.
IPL treatments for aesthetic medicine
The IPL method requires the use of high-intensity pulsed light. During a treatment session, the energy of the light rays is absorbed by melanin contained in the hair and epidermis, the heat released during this destroys the hair follicles and cells that have accumulated a large amount of melanin. The systems, or colloquially IPL laser, are also used to treat certain skin diseases (rosacea, age-related pigmentation, sun spots, etc.), as the high-intensity pulsed light is well absorbed not only by melanin, but also by hemoglobin.
Principle of IPL laser hair removal procedure
The use of 640 nm / 690 nm - 1200 nm wavelength maximizes selective heating of melanin in the hair. The special beam facilitates the penetration of light into the skin layers. The light is absorbed by melanin, turns into heat, and the hair follicle is destroyed.
Unlike lasers that use beams of a specific wavelength, IPL laser systems use a wide range of wavelengths (usually in the 500 nm - 1200 nm range). For different purposes, IPL devices are equipped with different options to select a specific range of wavelengths and affect melanin or hemoglobin to a greater extent. In the same way, working with IPL, a cosmetologist can choose the right wavelength range to affect hair of different colors (with different melanin content).
Removal of vascular lesions with IPL laser
Intense light pulses are absorbed by the red substance of the blood (hemoglobin) and heat the area of dilated vessels. Due to the increase in temperature, tissue protein and connective tissue fibers are coagulated, as a result of which the dilated vessels are closed, and unnecessary blood is expelled by the lymphatic system for 10-14 days. Intense pulsed light with an IPL laser is used to remove telangiectasias of thin areas.
In modern IPL devices, the cosmetologist can select the desired spectral range for any skin phototype. In such a wide range, the action affects various chromophores (both melanin and hemoglobin), which can then significantly affect the outcome of the treatment and side effects. Cosmetology procedures take place, every two weeks and up to 10 visits may be required.
The IPL laser has a two-stage effect on vascular lesions, in the first stage the emitted light will break up the blood clotted in the vessel, which causes it to open and the blood can escape, and with it the red discoloration disappears. As a result of IPL stimulation, the skin becomes thicker and hides the veins.
Treatment of pigmented lesions with IPL laser
The light is absorbed by the skin's melanin in pigmented lesions and converted into heat energy. This process destroys the pigment particles, which may be accompanied by reddening and darkening. One part of the pigment protrudes to the surface of the skin and disappears as a result of the skin renewal process. The use of additional RF energy for this type of procedure has no definite effect.
Pulsed light from an IPL laser can be used to level discolorations that occur on the skin. Such lesions form as a result of exposure to sunlight form in elderly people, etc. The IPL cosmetic procedure takes a short time of up to 20 minutes and involves emitting a beam of light into the area where the discoloration is visible. The entire treatment requires up to eight visits to the cosmetologist.

Collagen absorbs energy in the wavelength spectrum from 530/590/640 nm - 1200 nm. With this energy, collagen fibers are activated and the production of new collagen is stimulated. As a result, the skin looks young, healthy and fresh. You could find us by searching: ipl treatments, laser hair removal, duration, e mail.
