A standard diode emits wavelengths that range from 630 to 980 nm, and the organic factor that enables the corresponding therapeutic effects is melanin. This device works on the basis of the phenomenon of photothermolysis, which involves the absorption of wavelengths of a certain length by selected types of chromatophores.

The dye is found in the hair follicle as well as in the epidermal cells, so this laser can be used for permanent hair removal. 

How does the diode laser work?

The diode laser, works on the basis of selective photermolysis, which causes the absorption of the laser beam of a designated length, through specific chromophores, that is, photoacceptors, which are found in the body of each person. 

During depilation, the role of the photoacceptor that absorbs the diode laser radiation is played by melanin, which is the pigment that is found in the hair follicle and epidermal melanocytes.

Melanin selectively absorbs energy, resulting in the thermal destruction of the hair structures that are responsible for its growth. At the same time, the adjacent tissues are not even slightly affected.

Diode lasers operate on the basis of innovative technology, which boils down to the interaction of heat and light on the hair follicle. These devices emit a beam of light, the length of which is about 808 nm, thanks to which the treatment carried out is very .

The light travels to the hair follicle, so that it is damaged, and consequently the hair falls out. Laser hair removal treatments are completely safe for our skin, as they do not damage the tissues, as well as do not affect the functioning of our body. 

What are the recommendations before laser hair removal treatment?
