Thermolysis, is a rapid form of permanent hair removal using high frequency alternating current. Thermolysis involves the development of dynamic heat (forces) in the tissues of the hair, causing electrocoagulation and, consequently, full damage to the cells responsible for hair regrowth. Its advantages are mainly speed and ease of use.

Thermolysis - equipment, devices

Otherwise known as thermolysis, short-wave diathermy applies alternating current of high frequency and low intensity, which creates high temperatures that damage hair follicles. This mechanism is referred to as thermal electroepilation. Thermolysis is much faster than electrolysis (from tenths to thousandths of a second per hair follicle), however, it needs a great deal of knowledge and many years of practice with an electrologist (the person who performs epilation procedures).Synonymous with Thermolysis is often used the name coagulation or electrocoagulation. A form of thermolysis will eliminate noticeable, cracked and dilated blood vessels using high-frequency current. A specialized electrode/needle touches each vessel (sometimes several times, depending on the size) causing its closure. The procedure is not very complicated and does not limit professional duties. The skin after the procedure is temporarily reddened and irritated, which lasts up to a few hours. This method is simple, fast and will allow permanent and rapid elimination of small and ugly-looking vascular lesions all over the body.

Use of thermolysis

The electrocoagulation procedure is used for many skin problems. Among the most popular, however, is the electrocoagulation of a blood vessel, which is used to close it. This trouble especially affects ladies due to the huge effect of estrogen on the form of vessels. The action of bursting small vessels is characterized by the term telangiectasia. Vascular spider veins are then formed. Removal of blood vessels by electrocoagulation is carried out at an extremely high temperature, which serves the mechanism of protein breakdown at the site of electrode application. Its type and size is decided by the specialist based on the size of the lesion.

Thermolysis - what does it consist of?

Electrocoagulation is an innovative procedure used for cosmetic purposes, while also for medical purposes. During the procedure, an alternating electric current of low intensity and high frequency is used. During the procedure, coagulation occurs, so the shearing of proteins under the pressure of the electrical discharge. Thanks to electrocoagulation, in many cases it is possible to prevent huge bleeding from the wound, the placement of stitches and a long healing mechanism of the skin.

What does thermolysis treatment consist of?

Thermolysis involves the breakdown of a chemical compound by the action of high temperature. Passing through the vessel a current of great frequency causes coagulation of hemoglobin and thoroughly damages the vessel. The vascular closure procedure is an instant and effective treatment. The pain experienced during the procedure is small and depends on the place where the procedure is performed. Depending on the size of the capillary you want to close, its depth and placement, you should undergo 1-3 treatments. Most of the small capillaries on the face, so-called telangiectasias, manage to close effectively immediately after the first treatment.

Effective thermolysis for eliminating capillaries

Teleangiectasia is the constant dilatation of capillaries and small veins in the skin, which, when pressed, become pale but do not disappear. They are usually extremely pronounced on the skin, irregularly shaped, homing in on the "spider" or " star", whence they got their own name. Vascular spider ve ins can be at any age and any place on the skin and mucous membranes, in both men and ladies. They are mostly found on the wings of the nose and on the cheeks.

How long does the procedure take?

The procedure takes from a few to several dozen minutes, depending on the area or number of lesions. After the procedure, small swelling and erythema, keratinization of the skin, bruising and minor bleeding are possible. Symptoms pass relatively quickly. Healing time lasts from 1-2 days to about 1 week. Usually after the treatment there are small scabs, which should not be rubbed off in order not to leave scars. The skin will recover more quickly if we lubricate the skin with Panthenol, Alantan (cream) or Bepanthen.

What skin problems does thermolysis solve?

Electrocoagulation is done for both cosmetic and therapeutic purposes. It is not uncommon for such skin lesions as warts to spread to different parts of the body. So it is necessary to do electrocoagulation at an early stage. After the electrocoagulation procedure, swelling and redness may appear on the skin. The skin after electrocoagulation may also be painful, however, these symptoms disappear after a few hours.

Advantages

The main advantage of electrocoagulation is that there is no need to use a scalpel. The procedure is distinguished by its high efficiency - all the selected tissue can be eliminated at once. In addition, there is a chance to take it for research purposes. Another advantage is that the depth of action can be easily adjusted. A big plus is that the procedure does not need a long recovery time. It should be added that the cost of electrocoagulation is not large. The disadvantage of this type of treatment is that it can not be carried out on all people. Due to the fact that it uses an electric current, it is impossible to perform it on people with completed tumors, or with a pacemaker.
